Local hero Louis Wessels is taking part from a German perspective. The player, born in Bielefeld, currently the ATP’s 321, was given a wildcard by tournament director Ralf Weber, will meet Maxime Cressy (ATP 67) from the USA in the qualifying. Swiss player Dominic Stricker (ATP 200) received the third wildcard, and will play against Czechs Jiri Lehecka (ATP 79).
