Mats Moraing is in the main field at the NOVENTI OPEN. With a 7:5, 6:1-win over last years‘semi-finalist Denis Kudla (USA) the 26-year-old from Mülheim has secured himself participation in the main field. After winning against no. four seeded Andrey Rublev (Russia) 6:3, 5:7, 7:6(5), Mats Moraing has therefore stirred up a little in the qualifiers at the grass tournament in Halle.
From the German side of things, however, there is only one winner of the qualifiers, because Mischa Zverev and Matthias Bachinger could not win their qualifying matches. Mischa Zverev was without chance yesterday and lost to Andreas Seppi (Italy) 3:6, 2:6. Matthias Bachinger was also defeated by Sergiy Stakhovsky (Ukraine) 4:6, 7:6(2), 2:6.
The forth qualifier in the main field at the NOVENTI OPEN is Joao Sousa (Portugal). The Portuguese defeated Miomir Kecmanovic 6:7(8), 6:4, 6:1.
