Zverev/Zverev through to the Finals

Two-set-win against titleholders Klaasen/Ram

Alexander Zverev is not only throught to the singles-finals, he also is in the doubles-finals at the GERRY WEBER OPEN, too. In the 25 years of the tournaments history the only players to do that too were Yevgeny Kafelnikov (1996), David Prinosil (2000) and Roger Federer (2005 und 2014) twice. His brother Mischa on the other hand, could win the doubles title for the second time this year. With the Russian Mikhail Youzhny he had achieved this once before in 2008.

In the Semis they desenthroned Raven Klaasen (South Africa) and Rajeev Ram (USA), who have dominated this competition for the last two years and had had the title-hattrick in focus. Zverev/Zverev however kept on top with 6:3, 6:3 and now challenge the top seeds Lukasz Kubot (Poland) and Marcelo Melo (Brazil), who are the one of the best duos in the world at the moment.
