Brothers Alexander and Mischa Zverev have had to withdraw their start in the doubles competition of the 27th NOVENTI OPEN this Tueday. Alexander Zverev is suffering from knee injurie. The 22-year-old singles world’s no. 5 had slipped unluckily in his match against Dutch player Robin Haase on Monday afternoon and had injured himself.
Zverev, however, won the match in two sets, catching up in the second round from behind 0:3 and 2:5. The Zverev brothers were to play Ben McLachlan/Jan-Lennard Struff. Now Matthew Ebden (Australian/ATP Doubles 121) and Denis Kudla (USA/ATP Doubles 207) go through to the main field as Lucky Losers and will play McLachlan/Struff on Court 1.
