The Players Dinner has become a firm tradition at the TERRA WORTMANN OPEN - and is extremely popular with the tennis pros. At the invitation of Tournament Director Ralf Weber and his wife Irina, almost all of the tournament's top players turned up on the Event Centre terrace on Tuesday evening, where they did not want to miss out on the delicious buffet in the best barbecue weather. Jannik Sinner, the number one tennis player in the world, and Daniil Medvedev were there, as were Stefanos Tsitsipas and the German doubles team of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz.
They all enjoyed the relaxed evening in a convivial atmosphere and patiently posed for selfies with the guests. Only one was missing: Alexander Zverev, who fought with his partner Marcelo Melo late in the evening on the packed schauinsland-reisen Court in the doubles competition to reach the second round - but without success. The defending champions Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori lived up to their role as favourites and won 7:6, 7:5.
