Three German players on the center court and three German doubles in action

German day at the 31st TERRA WORTMANN OPEN. On Wednesday, German players will be involved in three out of four matches on Center Court, and three German doubles will also be in action.

Jan-Lennard Struff will kick things off on Wednesday at 12 noon in the OWL ARENA. The 34-year-old, who is the oldest player at the tournament, will face Italian Luciano Darderi. It is a first round match. The two have not yet played each other on the ATP Tour. Dominik Koepfer, who is already fighting for a place in the quarter-finals, will play next. His opponent is Frenchman Arthur Fils. Direct comparison: 0:0.

German number one Alexander Zverev will play the fourth match on Center Court - just 24 hours after his victory against Oscar Otte. He will play the Italian Lorenzo Sonego, against whom Zverev has a positive record: He has won all three matches against Sonego. In the third match on the largest court in the complex, Daniil Medvedev will face China's Zhizhen Zhang.

On Court 1, the German top doubles pairing of Kevin Krawietz/Tim Pütz will play their fourth match of the day against Lloyd Glasspool and Jean-Julien Rojer. The German duo Constantin Frantzen and Hendrik Jebens will continue their match against Yuki Bhambri/Albano Olivetti, which was abandoned on Tuesday, on Court 2 (as the second match). Before the rain interruption, the score was 5:4 in favor of the Indian-French combination. The first quarter-final doubles match is scheduled for the fourth match on Court 2. Yannick Hanfmann and Dominik Koepfer have a tough task ahead of them against fourth seeds Hugo Nys (Monaco) and Jan Zielinski (Poland).
